Be Careful What Servers You Play ON

AON NEW BAN POLICY

If you hop on a server and there is no fog or anything else unusual, I suggest to hop back off.

Quote
After extensive discussions we have decided that Due to the increasing instances of modded servers and modded maps showing no fog screenshots. We are instituting the policy of banning all no fog shots. If the server name is an official map name (Such as Bridge crossing) These will be treated as a permanent ban and will not be removed. If you make the decision to mod maps and servers in this way then it is your responsibility to make sure that your not streaming and not producing screenshots and to rename the map in the editor to not reflect an official map name.

Thank you for your understanding.

WOW  :o

I did not realize people were modding honor servers. Shows you that I have not been on any. I will immediately disconnect if there are any strange things happening. Wow! Streaming this junk to AON is just asking for an entire clan to be banned and unfortunately the unsuspecting soles that join that server.

There are in fact quite a few modded servers out there, and you may easily have played on one without knowing.  Always check that the name of the server does not refer to any mods or SF (if you know the map is not normally SF) - for instance there are SF only Border servers -therefore modded.
Also do as I recommended above, if you didn't see anything in the name, once you join watch for unusual abilities etc. (no fog, excessive scores, low gravity).

Unfortunately, it has become dangerous simply jumping on an unknown server - the good thing is for a ban to be issued there must be evidence of unfair advantage (serverwide or individual) such as no fog, so you should recognize a situation where a ban is possible simply because there must be a visible indication.

Actually, a number of the AON members play on the SF Border servers; many simply because they don't realize they are modded.  You will not get a ban if there is no evidence of unfair advantage found in your screenshots, since SF is not noticeably an unfair advantage (unlike no fog) I doubt you would receive a ban.  That said, an observant staff at AON may notice the server map (Border) and that a screenshot shows you using a weapon not standard for that map - so I guess you never know.

BEST ADVICE: Modded servers are violating the America's Army EULA, they are thus, inherently dishonest - STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Sandman, There are multiple servers out there that have moded maps. We as a clan frown on this and think that everyone should gain their honer legitimately. Are you suggesting that your rapid increase in honer is from playing on a hacked server?

I don't think he was promoting it just warning us about it.
Those should all be reported via email to these two addresses:
aacm@americasarmy.com and rob@pr-sol.com

Include the server IP and Port, the first email is to America's Army Accounts Management and the second is to an investigator with Pragmatic (who handles the honor aspect of the game).
